It is now obvious that respecting our environment is essential to our future. As a consequence, we are decided to include environmentally-friendly measures in our design as outlined below and make of our company a leading example in ecological property development in Morocco.

The buildings are made essentially out of natural materials: earth, straw and wood.

Marrakech has 330 days of sunshine per year. Installing solar panels on the roofs will provide the heating and hot water necessary. Further developments could be made to provide the electricity required in each house from solar power. The hearth and reversible air-conditioning will be present as back-up options only.

Ventilation is used to cool down the villas by means of “Provencal shafts”. These are wells dug into the ground to fetch the cool air lying underground. The disposition of windows and doors facing one another will also create drafts cooling the house down.

Water is a primordial resource in Morocco and should not be wasted. Thus rain water is recuperated. Waste water is recycled using the TeichMeister process involving its filtration and treatment through a planted area within a large pond. This same process will be used to clean the swimming pools biologically.
